(Yicai Global) June 11 -- Smart driving technology developer and provider Shenzhen Roadrover Technology will supply carmaker Liuzhou Wuling Motors with intelligent driving and Internet of Vehicles technical services to lift the level of its smart capability.

The two have penned a framework agreement, Roadrover announced yesterday. Their development areas will include key technology for vehicle electrification, intelligentization and IOV connectivity, as well as car-sharing.  

The two had previously embarked on sound cooperation in the areas of driverless sightseeing vehicles in scenic tourist spots and car-sharing management systems before signing the current agreement, per the announcement.

Wuling, which is based in China's southwestern Guangxi Zhang Autonomous Region, GM (China) Investment and SAIC Motor have a joint venture company, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile, which has rolled out a series of best-selling products in the Chinese market.

Roadrover's main business comprises development of automotive intelligent information processing technology, car smart interior products and driverless and smart commuting products, and it has cooperative relations with internet giants Tencent Holdings, Alibaba Group Holding and Baidu.
