(Yicai Global) April 3 -- China stocks continued on their downward arc for the whole day, despite resurgent agricultural shares.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed 0.60 percent lower at 2,763.99 on CNY214.1 billion (USD30.2 billion) in turnover, the Shenzhen Component Index was down 0.68 percent at 10,110.11 on CNY358.3 billion traded, while the ChiNext, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen market, dipped 0.54 percent to 1,906.67 on a CNY113.4 billion volume.

Movie stocks bounced back in the afternoon as the government hinted at preferential policies for the virus-stricken sector, while the fifth-generation wireless communications network and photoresist sectors, which were yesterday's darlings, were today's duds.
