(Yicai Global) Dec. 13 -- China's A-shares opened slightly higher this morning, led by agricultural machinery stocks amid positive market sentiment following rises on European and US bourses. The Hong Kong exchange also opened up today.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened at 2,607.14 points, up 0.19 percent, while the Shenzhen Component Index was up 0.25 percent at 7,717.47 points. The ChiNext Price Index opened at 1,341.55 points, up 0.21 percent.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index opened 0.9 percent higher at 26,417.89 points today.
The US Dow Jones Industrial Average Index closed up 0.64 percent at 24,527.27 points while the S&P500 closed 0.54 percent higher at 2,651.07 points and the Nasdaq composite index closed up 0.95 percent at 7,098.31 points.
