(Yicai Global) Dec. 17 -- China's A-shares opened Lower this morning Following last Friday's downturn in US bourse.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened at 2,587.26 points, down 0.25 percent, while the Shenzhen Component Index was down 0.40 percent at 7,599.01 points. The ChiNext Price Index opened at 1,303.88 points, down 0.50 percent.

The US Dow Jones Industrial Average Index closed down 2.02 percent at 24,100.51 points last Friday, while the S&P500 closed 1.91 percent higher at 2,599.95 points and the Nasdaq composite index closed down 2.26 percent at 6910.67 points.
