(Yicai Global) Feb. 18 - China's mainland stock markets got off to a mixed-up start this morning, but to he ChiNext Price Index stayed on its climbing trajectory even as many mainboard shares started to retreat.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.07 percent lower at 2,981.41. The Shenzhen Component Index edged up 0.03 percent to 11,244.76. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, set out 0.15 percent higher at 2,149.30.
