(Yicai Global) Aug. 28 -- Standard Chartered Bank's China's Small and Medium Enterprise Confidence Index rose to 54.5 this month from July's reading of 53.8. This increase shows the Chinese economy is stabilizing, the bank said today.
The SME Confidence Index assesses the development of China SMEs from the perspectives of sub-indexes, performance, expectation and credit. The SMEI became embedded on the Bloomberg Terminal as a core index reflecting the economic development of Chinese SMEs in May 2016.
