(Yicai Global) Aug. 28 -- China's major stock indexes made a good start to the week, closing higher on Monday. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.93 percent to close at 3362.65 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed up 1.41 percent at 10,809.74 points.
The Growth Enterprise Index spiked 1.65 percent to close at 1,842.83 points.
Broker stocks rose 6 percent, with five of them hitting their daily upper limit, which led the SSE 50 index to increase 1.12 percent to close at 2736.46 points, the highest since July 2015.
