(Yicai Global) Nov. 12 -- Tech shares weighed on the Star Market and the ChiNext rose as banking and insurance stocks dragged down Shanghai’s mainboard.
The Shanghai Composite Index closed 0.11 percent down at 3,338.68. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.52 percent to 13,792.07.

The Star 50 Index, which tracks tech stocks listed on Shanghai’s Nasdaq-style Star Market, rose 1.27 percent to 1,413.29, while the Shenzhen market’s growth enterprise ChiNext Price Index added 0.71 percent to 2,700.51.

Banking stocks closed 1.02 percent down, while insurance shares fell 1.73 percent.
