(Yicai Global) Aug. 12 -- Chinese stock markets closed higher at the lunch break, with financial shares among the top performers.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 2,794.30, up 0.7 percent this morning. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.78 percent to 8,863.67. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, increased 0.57 percent to 1,516.32.
