(Yicai Global) Aug. 6 -- China's main boards followed suit this morning as global financial markets continue their free-fall. The Shanghai Composite Index set out 1.58 percent lower at 2,776.99. The Shenzhen Component Index dropped to 8,805.15, down 2 percent, while the ChiNext Price Index, which tracks Shenzhen's growth enterprises, slipped 1.96 percent to 1,501.40.
The Hang Seng Index, which piggybacks the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, kicked off 2.6 percent lower at 25,472.43 after yesterday's 2.81 percent slide.
