(Yicai Global) Nov. 11 -- The Shanghai Composite Index was the only major mainland equity benchmark to rise higher by midday after investors sold and bought at the same time.
The Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.12 percent to 3,377.64 by the lunch break. The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.41 percent to 14,083.85, after slumping as much as 1.4 percent earlier.
The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, dropped 0.28 percent to 2,806.15. The index had tumbled nearly 2 percent in the morning.
