(Yicai Global) July 24 -- Yesterday’s slumping US shares and profit-taking after recent rises combined to precipitate Chinese stock markets into a morning plunge.
The Shanghai Composite Index flopped 2.25 percent to 3,250.37 at the lunch break, while the Shenzhen Component Index dived 3.45 percent to 13,190.23. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, toppled 4.31 percent to 2,678.89.
