(Yicai Global) Aug. 1 -- China's mainland stock markets opened lower today to continue their downward journeys from  yesterday. The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.4 percent lower at 2,920.85. The Shenzhen Component Index was 0.5 percent down at 9,278.83. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, fell 0.5 percent to 1,562.53.
