(Yicai Global) Aug. 9 -- China's mainland stock markets opened higher this morning, continuing yesterday's rebound.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.39 percent higher at 2,805.59. The Shenzhen Component Index was at 8,963.47, in a 0.5 percent rise and the ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, nosed up 0.66 percent to 1,532.98.
