(Yicai Global) Dec. 26 -- China's mainland stock markets rose before ending the morning session headed toward different directions. Shenzhen's tech board underperformed.

The Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.35 percent higher to 2,992.41. The Shenzhen Component Index was at 10,244.02, up 0.14 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, fell 0.14 percent to 1,781.94.
