China Strives to Expand 5G Coverage to Nearly 300 Cities by 2020(Yicai Global) Dec. 23 -- China seeks to extend its fifth-generation wireless networks to cover all of the 293 prefectural-level cities by the end of next year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said today.
China has launched commercial 5G services this year with a total of 126,000 5G base stations, the ministry said on its annual meeting held in Beijing.
