(Yicai Global) Sept. 20 -- Revenue at Chinese telecoms firms totaled CNY888 billion (USD125 billion) throughout the first eight months of this year, down 0.02 percent from the year-ago period, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said today. The figure for the seven months ended July had been up 0.11 percent annually.

There were nearly 1.26 billion fourth-generation network users during the period, making up 78.8 percent of all mobile internet users, 4.4 points more than at the end of last year.

Mobile internet traffic tallied some 77.7 exabytes, or 77.7 billion gigabytes, almost doubling from a year earlier.
