(Yicai Global) Sept. 4 -- The PCS Joint Venture, comprising China Construction Thailand Co. and Thailand's Power Line Engineering Public Co. [BKK:PLE], has won a THB14.2-billion (USD429-million) bid to build Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport Terminal 1 levels two to four and the connection to its southern tunnel project, China News Service reported, quoting the Chinese Embassy in Thailand.

The construction area is 216,000 square meters and the contract lasts 660 days. China Construction Thailand will be responsible for the civil engineering while Power Line will handle mechanical and electrical works. The pair will take joint responsibility for the procurement and installation of special equipment.

China Construction Thailand's parent, China State Construction Engineering Corp. Ltd. [SHA:601668], is the world's largest construction group and has built three quarters of China's major airport projects and 90 percent of its high-rise (300 meters or higher) buildings. It has a presence in over 100 countries.
