(Yicai Global) Sept. 16 -- China's unemployment rate slid by 0.1 percentage point on the month to 5.2 percent in August, according to data published by the National Bureau of Statistic today.

Some 8.84 million jobs were created in urban areas over the first eight months, the NBS said, adding that the average weekly working time of employees across the country was 46.6 hours in August, up 0.1 hours from July.
