(Yicai Global) March 30 -- FlashEx, a Chinese intracity express delivery company, has raised USD125 million from investors such as SIG China, which has become its biggest institutional backer.
Shunwei Capital, N5Capital and Tiantu Capital also took part in the D2 round fundraiser, Beijing-based FlashEx said in a statement today. It did not disclose the size of any individual investments or stakes.
More and more users are willing to pay a small premium for FlashEx’s point-to-point service to get the most time-efficient deliveries, said Gong Ting, managing director of SIG China.
Set up in 2014, FlashEx is part of Beijing Tongcheng Biying Technology and is the only one-to-one express delivery platform in the intracity on-demand courier sector. It had served over 100 million users as of the end of 2019.
FlashEx is expected to maintain its high level of growth, Gong said.
