(Yicai) June 7 -- Chinese companies are seizing the opportunity of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics to increase their brand influence abroad.

E-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding and China Mengniu Dairy are among the top sponsors of the games held from July 26 to Aug. 11, Yicai learned. Another dairy company Yili Group, LexinFintech Holdings, a consumer finance firm, and Chery Automobile are some of the partners of China's national teams for shooting, fencing, track and field, and women’s volleyball, supporting them in nutrition, technological services, and transport.

China Media Group owns the broadcasting rights for the Paris Olympics across all media channels in China. It has joined hands with Alibaba's cloud computing arm to optimize audiences' watching experience.

Flight ticket bookings to Paris more than tripled for the period of the games from a year ago and hotel reservations grew nearly three times, according to online travel agency Trip.Com Group. Another agency Ly.Com shows a fourfold jump in the popularity of Paris hotels and an almost doubled interest in flights.

China-made products will play a significant role in the games. Four-fifths of the Phryges, the official mascot birds of the Paris 2024 Games, are manufactured by Chinese companies. Domestic manufacturers have logged significant surges in orders of soccer balls, flags, cheer batons, as well as binoculars. Beijing-based Yuanlong Yato Culture Dissemination is developing Olympics-themed gifts for some of the sponsors. It is also designing 'Team China' cultural products to prepare for viewers' demand.

Export orders of sporting goods are rising. For example, the latest batch of table tennis balls produced by Guangzhou-based Double Fish Sport Group is on its way to Guangzhou’s Port of Nansha to be sold in France.
