(Yicai Global) Jan. 14 -- Chinese express delivery firms finished another booming month in December, the second month in a row when the daily handling volume reached 200 million packages per day.
Logistics companies took care of nearly 15 percent more parcels at 6.2 billion units last month from a year earlier amid a busy season of shopping campaigns, the State Post Bureau said in a statement today. November was particularly busy due to the Singles Day shopping festival.
The volume will shrink to around 5 billion parcels this month, affected by Chinese New Year, the postal bureau added. That will still be 11 percent more than last year.
