(Yicai Global) April 30 -- China’s mainland stock markets closed higher today with electronics and information technology stocks leading the way and a rise in most companies listed on the Shanghai Star Market for innovative sci-tech firms.
The Shanghai Composite Index closed up 1.33 percent at 2,860.08, while the Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.97 percent to 10,721.78. The ChiNext Price Index, which that tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, climbed 1.92 percent to 2,069.43.
Medicine, food, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishing stocks were among biggest losers.
