(Yicai Global) Oct. 11 -- Chinese mainland shares managed to close up in morning trading after profit-taking pressure had earlier dragged the major indexes into negative territory.
The Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.44 percent at 2,960.68 going into the lunch break, while the Shenzhen Component Index finished 0.19 percent stronger at 9,656.73. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, closed up 0.12 percent at 1,668.89 st the bell.
