(Yicai Global) Oct. 8 -- Stock markets on China's mainland opened higher this morning after a week-long hiatus for the National Day holiday.
The Shanghai Composite Index started 0.02 percent higher at 2,905.19, while the Shenzhen Component Index opened up 0.3 percent at 9,476.78. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, started the day 0.27 percent stronger at 1,631.92.
