Chinese Shares End Morning Higher, Led by Chips

(Yicai Global) Nov. 27 -- Chinese mainland stock markets erased this morning's declines by noon, driven by semiconductor shares that surged by 3 percent. 

The Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.16 percent to 2,911.76. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.07 percent to 9,683.58. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks Shenzhen-listed growth enterprises, edged up 0.26 percent to 1,683.48.
