(Yicai Global) April 22 – China’s three benchmark stock indexes reversed to close higher in afternoon trading.

Shanghai Composite Index closed at 2,843.98, up 0.60 percent, while the Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.05 percent higher at 10,617.19. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, gained 0.95 percent at 2,043.17.

The shares of agricultural product processors kept to their upward momentum to close with 4.58 percent average increases, leading the gainers.
