(Yicai Global) May 8 -- Chinese stock markets ended up higher at noon, with digital currency shares the top gainers.
The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 2,897.74 at the lunch break, up 0.91 percent, while the Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.36 percent to 11,011. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, grew 1.05 percent to 2,128.95.
Crypto-currency stocks surged 4 percent over the morning.
