(Yicai Global) June 16 -- Chinese stock markets finished the morning session higher while technology shares were among the top gainers, surging over 2 percent.

The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.87 percent to 2,915.09 by the lunch break. The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 0.98 percent to 11,302.32. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, advanced 0.97 percent to 2,241.1.
