(Yicai Global) April 21 -- China’s three benchmark stock indexes all closed lower today, though mining shares maintained an upward trajectory throughout the day and media stocks recovered in the afternoon.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 2,827.01, down 0.90 percent, while the Shenzhen Component Index ended 1.08 percent lower at 10,506.86. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, shed 0.95 percent to 2,023.94.
