Chinese Stock Markets Open Up as Consumer Goods Spearhead the Charge

(Yicai Global) March 27 -- China's mainland stock markets opened higher, today, with consumer goods stocks such as clothing, liquor and other beverages taking the lead.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 1.02 percent higher at 2,792.98. The Shenzhen Component Index jumped 1.43 percent to 10,300.62. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, climbed 1.48 percent to 1,955.87.
