(Yicai Global) Dec. 10 -- China's mainland stock markets regained ground they ceded in the afternoon to close higher, as software companies spearheaded the reversal.
The Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.10 percent to 2,917.32, while the Shenzhen Component Index scaled up 0.40 percent to 9,915.87. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks Shenzhen-listed growth enterprises, finished 0.75 percent higher at 1,734.02.
Sci-tech stocks trading on the Shanghai-based STAR market jumped 5.82 percent overall.
Augmented reality and software companies increased by 3.92 percent and 1.85 percent, respectively. Agriculture firms led the loss with an average 1.36 percent decline.
