(Yicai Global) Oct. 31 -- China's mainland stock markets ended their two-day decline at opening today, after the US Federal Reserve yesterday cut interest rates for the third time this year.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.19 percent higher at 2,944.84. The Shenzhen Component Index climbed to 9,709.10, up 0.28 percent and the ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, rose 0.26 percent to 1,688.42.
The US central lowered the overnight lending rate by a quarter of a percentage point to a target range of between 1.50 per cent and 1.75 percent, arousing expectations China's central bank will push a looser monetary policy.
