(Yicai Global) Sept. 10 -- The first batch of exhibits for November's China International Import Expo is already on the way to Shanghai.
The first exhibits were loaded up on board a China COSCO Shipping vessel and departed from the port of Hamburg in Germany on Sept. 8 as part of a service offered by the expo that will take place in November, the Shanghai-based shipping firm said in a statement without confirming the name of the client.
The owner of the goods is a time-honored family business based in the state of Baden-Württemberg, southern Germany. With operations spanning multiple fields including automobiles, aerospace, construction, power generation, mechanical engineering, ships, port services and maritime engineering, the company has emerged as a leader in the country's manufacturing industry and nurtured a global reputation for making drive and transmission devices, casting and forging parts.
COSCO Shipping is responsible for end-end supply chain logistics solutions including export declaration, trucking, temporary storage, stuffing and lashing, railway transport and maritime transport under the support of SeaExpress, the firm's German unit. The firm will also return the goods after the conclusion of the expo.
