(Yicai Global) Oct. 28 -- Equipment exhibitors of this year's China International Import Expo will show up with massive technologies such as excavators, patrol vessels, and a dragon boat, to furnish their enlarged booths.

Many exhibitors have booked bigger booths this year while adjusting their offering to save energy and better fit the Chinese market, Tian Ye, head of the equipment area, told Yicai Global at a press conference yesterday. Italian Ferretti's 20-meter FSD195 has already entered the site while other exhibition items are still on their way, according to Tian.

Equipment stands among the seven product categories of Shanghai's CIIE, held from Nov. 5 to Nov. 10. The dedicated area, which covers the fields of advanced manufacturing, large machinery, robots, and aerospace, spans 60,000 square meters with more than 300 participating companies.

Dell will expand its exhibition area to 600 sqms this year, which will be needed as the Texas-headquartered computer firm will bring a dragon boat to show how Big Data helps racers to boosts the speed. Chicago's Boeing will double its area to bring a flight simulator on site.

Illinois-based Deere & Co. will display its E400 excavator which is customized for the Chinese market. Construction machine maker Caterpillar will bring power generators to meet the needs of energy and sewage treatment plants in Central and western China.
