(Yicai) May 29 -- The 11th China Shanghai International Technology Fair will bring together nearly 1,000 leading global firms, exhibiting various innovative products, including a commercial cryptographic knowledge base built using a large language model and a neuromodulation therapy for treating insomnia, depression, and other disorders.

The CSITF will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center from June 11 to 13. With an exhibition area spreading 35,000 square meters, it will include one theme pavilion and four professional exhibitions covering digital technology, green energy, marine engineering and equipment, and consumer and commerce tech.

The Shanghai Development Center of Computer Software Technology, one of the first commercial cryptographic testing agencies in China and a third-time participant at the CSITF, will highlight the application of artificial intelligence in the digital tech exhibition area this year, Director Cai Lizhi told Yicai.

The commercial cryptographic knowledge base features training LLM into an "expert" in the field by collecting algorithms and professional corpus, including technical knowledge, standards, and evaluation guidelines, Cai said, adding that these can be used to screen password security vulnerabilities and automatically generate repair plans.

Established in January, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Shanghai Industry-Education Integration Center will make its debut at the CSITF. The talent training and innovation incubating institution set up by the university will display several new scientific achievements, such as the neuromodulation therapy Temporal Interference.

TI is a non-invasive deep brain stimulation technology that effectively regulates neural activity by placing electrodes on the scalp's surface to generate electric fields that can be precisely controlled to stimulate specific brain areas, noted Qian Wenxin, deputy director of the HKUST Shanghai Center. It has a significant therapeutic or alleviating effect on Parkinson's disease, insomnia, depression, and anxiety, Qian said.

In addition, HKUST Shanghai Center will exhibit a cybersecurity solution based on AI technology, a high-efficiency treatment technology of landfill leachate, and an automation design system for intelligent dentistry, Qian pointed out.
