Didi to Serve 100 Million Orders per Day Worldwide in Next Three Years, CEO Says Didi to Serve 100 Million Orders per Day Worldwide in Next Three Years, CEO Says

(Yicai Global) April 17 -- Didi Chuxing will serve 100 million orders each day all around the Earth, with an 8 percent domestic penetration rate in the travel market and global monthly active users exceeding 800 million in the next three years, said Cheng Wei, chief executive of the world's largest ride-hailing platform.

Didi's domestic business will progress in two areas, Cheng stated at the company's strategy conference held yesterday. First, the firm will continue to improve its online car hailing, taxi, proxy driving and hitch ride services, as well as its shared Qingju Bikes and electric bikes to serve more users. The firm will also beef up its Xiaoju Automobile Solutions, autonomous driving, finance and smart transport businesses.

Beijing-based Didi made a breakthrough in its international business last year after completing over 1 billion travel orders overseas by the start of this year, Cheng said.

He hopes to promote the development of the company’s international travel, takeout service and innovative businesses in the next three years and provide localized services to more users around the world.

Didi has set up a user growth division composed of a part of its online car-hailing segment, original platform product department, and online car-hailing passenger arm. The new business will cooperate with the other units to achieve the goal of 800 million monthly active users within three years.
