(Yicai Global) Sept. 21 -- Guangdong province's Dongguan city, an important manufacturing hub in South China, plans to construct seven subway lines to connect the city with Guangdong's capital of Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Nanfang posted on its WeChat account.

One line will link Dongguan and Guangzhou, and six with run between Dongguan and Shenzhen.

The implementation of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area strategy will strengthen Dongguan's urban railway traffic connections with Guangzhou and Shenzhen and unite the region near the mouth of the Pearl River in line with citizens expectations, said a Dongguan Develop and Reform Bureau insider.
