[Exclusive] Chinese State Airlines Switch Top Executives [Exclusive] Chinese State Airlines Switch Top Executives

(Yicai Global) Feb. 26 -- Two of China's state-owned aviation giants have reshuffled their senior management.

China Southern Airlines has promoted Luo Laijun, the former director general of its commercial steering committee, to serve as the Guangzhou-based company's vice president, Yicai Global has learned.

Former China Eastern Airlines' General Manager Ma Xulun replaced Tan Wangeng as GM at China Southern last November. Tan joined the country's largest plane builder, Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China.

China Eastern has appointed Li Yangmin, who was previously vice president, as general manager, the Shanghai-based firm said in a statement yesterday. Li will work with Chairman Liu Shaoyong to develop the company's two core hubs of Shanghai and Beijing, and continue to promote mixed ownership reforms in all units to bring in private capital.

Li joined China Eastern in 2005 and served as general manager of one of the firm's aircraft maintenance bases.
