(Yicai Global) Sept. 20 -- The fresh product e-commerce platform MissFresh completed C+ round financing of USD230 million from the lead investors, Tiger Global and Genesis Capital, online media jiemian.com reported. Internet giant Tencent Holdings Ltd. [HKG:0700] is one of its earliest investors.

Proceeds from the financing will be used in expansion of front-end warehouses in first-tier, second-tier and third-tier cities, brand building and market development, said Xu Zheng, founder and CEO of MissFresh. It will make a strategic investment of CNY300 million (USD45 million) in its unmanned office goods shelf project to rapidly establish 100,000 shelves.
