It moved its Asia-Pacific headquarters to Zhangjiang, Pudong New Area, in 2003 and later set up a Chinese research & development center in Zhangjiang. As a classic model of headquarters economy in Pudong, the firm released a series of strategies of “East for East” and “East to Rest”, serving China and the world from Pudong. Honeywell has actively participated in the construction of Pudong, and used its customized smart technology in multiple scenarios, including Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai Tower, World Expo Theme Pavilion, and World Expo Center.
