(Yicai Global) Sept.13 -- Chinese communications device maker Huawei Technologies Co. has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Guangzhou's Baiyun district government in southern Guangdong province to construct a hundred-billion-level next-generation information industrial cluster.

The pair will build a cloud computing data center, a cloud industry operation center, an innovation exhibition center and a cloud industry development platform, China News reported.

The project will actively facilitate upstream and downstream partners to set up business in Baiyun district, thus bringing new business growth and increased economic transformation to the region, said Yang Ruikai, president of Huawei's Enterprise Cloud business.

The government will provide more inclusive and preferential policies for the cluster and will make efforts to promote the development of cloud computing and Big Data and facilitate production and information industrialization in the city and region, said Su Xiaopeng, governor of Baiyun district.
