(Yicai Global) Oct. 10 -- Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies and Funde Insurance Holdings have agreed to promote their business development together by cooperating on cloud computing, Big Data, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and information security.
The two penned a framework cooperation agreement yesterday, Shenzhen-based Funde said on a statement posted on its website.
In cloud computing, Huawei will provide Funde with a secure, credible and open Infrastructure as a service cloud computing resources, and jointly work to improve the level of cloud computing research and application. In Big Data and AI, the pair will strengthen cooperation in speech, image, face recognition and digital signature to upgrade Funde's efficiency and customer service experience.
For the Internet of Things, the partners will discuss industry solutions based on Huawei's fifth-generation mobile network and IoT technologies and seek common development opportunities. They will strengthen cooperation in network and information system operations, monitoring and security and help improve the network and information security capabilities and levels of Funde's affiliates.
As for the exploration of new technology applications, Shenzhen-based Huawei and Fende will set up joint innovation labs for research on cloud computing, Big Data, AI, and unified communications. They will also develop a new generation of technical architecture to cope with future development trends in financial technology.
In addition, Huawei and Funde will support each other to establish a benchmark in insurance industry solutions.
Funde's subsidiaries include Funde Sino Life, Funde Property & Casualty Insurance, Sino Life Asset and Funde Insurance Sales.
