(Yicai Global) Jan. 19 -- China's leading smartphone maker Huawei Technologies Co. set its annual global sales target at a record-high USD102 billion this year.

The Shenzhen-based firm's Carrier Business Group bears the brunt of the goal at USD45 billion, NetEase Technology reported. The Consumer Business Group is aiming for USD44 billion, the Enterprise Business Group targets USD10.6 billion and the remainder of the company is looking to pull in USD2.5-billion.

Huawei is the world's third biggest smartphone manufacturer behind South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co. and Californian Apple Inc. However, in China, domestic firms rule the roost. Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo are accompanied by Apple to make up the country's top five brands.

Huawei's full-year in 2017 grew about 15 percent to CNY600 billion (USD94 billion), according to estimates from rotating Chief Executive Hu Houkun.

The Consumer Business Group, which focuses on smartphones, made up CNY236 billion of the total after surging 30 percent from 2016, added Yu Chengdong, the unit's chief executive. He predicts the company's two brands, Huawei and Honor, will ship 153 million units this year.
