(Yicai Global) Oct. 26 -- Huolinhe Opencut Coal Industry Corporation [SHE:002128] will invest in the construction of a wind farm in North China, with phase I static investment amounting to USD176 Million (CNY1.63 billion).

Huolinhe's board has deliberated and adopted the plan, the firm announced yesterday.

The company plans to invest in the construction of a wind farm project in Bieli Gutai, Abag Banner, Xilingol League, in China's north-central Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the planned construction scale is 450 megawatts (MW), with 225 MW slated for phase I construction, it said.

The implementation of this project can increase the proportion of clean energies in Huolinhe's energy mix, accelerate its energy structural adjustment, and ease its long-term corporate development, the company said.
