(Yicai) June 17 -- Stars and filmmakers graced the red carpet on June 15 for the Shanghai International Film Festival, as the annual movie event got underway at the Shanghai Grand Theater.

More than 3,700 movies from 105 countries and regions are entered for the Golden Goblet Awards, with 50 shortlisted for the main competition as well as the Asian New Talent, documentary, animation, and short film categories.

French-Vietnamese director Tran Anh Hung, president of this year’s jury panel, appears with fellow jurors Australian director Rolf de Heer, German director Matthias Glasner, Argentine director Santiago Mitre, Chinese director Song Taijia, and Chinese actors Tony Leung Ka Fai and Zhou Xun.

The jurors for the Asian New Talent category pose for the cameras. They are Prof. Cao Baoping of the Beijing Film Academy, Mexican director Lila Avilés, Chinese director Da Peng, producer Shen Yang, actress Ni Ni, and Japanese screenwriter Shin Adachi.

The crew of the dance drama Red Radio Over Shanghai give a thumbs up, including director Zheng Dasheng, producer Cui Yi, and cast members Wang Jiajun and Zhu Jiejing.

The stars of the movie Decoded line up. They are Liu Haoran, Daniel Wu, Faye Yu, Ren Luyao, and Chen Yusi.
