Late Internet Payment Leads to LeTV, Service Disruption

(Yicai Global) Aug. 2 -- Some users found that videos on LeTV's website did not play and was not accessible this afternoon. The company was late on its internet payment and the connection to its servers was cut off -- this caused the disruption, a Leshi Internet Information and Technology Corp. [SHE:300104] executive told Yicai Global.

The problem had been fixed by 7.00 p.m.

Following the exposure of another cash crisis at Leshi Holding (Beijing) Co., a court issued an order in June freezing assets owned by its founder Jia Yueting, his wife and his three companies worth a total of USD182 million (CNY1.237 billion).

LeEco creditors gathered around a shareholders meeting for the group's listed arm last month to chase down repayments while investors sought to elect a new board after Jia Yueting resigned from his seat and went to the US to focus on LeCar earlier that month.

Leshi Holding is Leshi Internet Information and Technology's parent company.
