LeCloud CEO Wu Yazhou Resigns

(Yicai Global) Nov. 3 -- Wu Yazhou, CEO of LeCloud Computing Co. and vice president of strategic project management unit of Leshi Internet Information & Technology (Beijing) Co. [SHE:300104], also referred to as LeEco, announced his departure in an internal email sent to employees today.

"I still believe LeEco's ecosystem philosophy is correct and does not need to be revised despite criticisms. However, it needs to reflect and correct if things go wrong. I hope that LeEco can reinvent itself under the strategic guidance of its new management team," Wu said in his resignation letter.

Wu served as a senior technology manager at Skyworth Digital Holdings [SHE:000810; HKG:0751], Huawei Technologies Co. and Tencent Holdings Ltd. [HKG:0700] before joining LeEco on May 19, 2011.

A number of LeEco executives recruited by Jia Yueting, founder of Leshi, with big remuneration packages have reportedly left the company of late.
