(Yicai Global) Dec. 7 -- Cash-strapped Leshi Internet Information & Technology (Beijing) Co. [SHE:300104], also known as LeEco, has taken another hit as a partner of its cloud computing unit LeCloud Computing Co. (LeCloud) has moved a court to freeze the firm's assets worth more than CNY100 million, a motion the court has approved.

The partner is a Beijing-based computer technology company, which became a LeCloud shareholder in August with a 3 percent holding.

As LeEco's financial crisis is worsening, however, the company applied to a court to freeze assets at LeCloud to protect its investment on Nov. 16, China Business Journal reported today. LeCloud, which is among LeEco's key assets, helps ensure smooth video streaming at the latter. Its clients include several well-known Chinese live-streaming websites. The company recorded a net loss of CNY80 million on revenue of CNY710 million in the first half of the year, per its financial reports. LIt is embroiled in three contract disputes involving CNY27.2 million. Other company shareholders have also petitioned to freeze its assets in the amounts of CNY2.5 million, CNY7.4 million and CNY6.2 million, respectively. Wu Yazho, the firm's chief executive,  announced his departure in an internal email sent to employees Nov. 3.
