(Yicai Global) Oct. 26 -- Fourteen companies, including Manpower Group, Bayer China, SGS China, Dalian Wanda Group and JD Logistics, have won this year’s Best Social Enterprises Award in China, according to event host HRoot, China’s leading human resources media company.

HRoot handed out the prizes on Oct. 24 after more than 500 companies applied for nominations. In addition to the 14 companies, 12 HR experts and managers, 25 HR teams, and 20 excellent projects were also honored amid fierce competition.

Zhu Liwen, HR director and managing director of DBS Bank China, and five other HR experts won the Outstanding Achievement Award of Human Resource Management in China. Wu Qing, general manager of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance China’s HR department, and five other professionals were named Best HR Leaders.

The review committee was made up of industry experts, including William J. Rothwell, professor of education at Pennsylvania State University; Chen Wei, professor of management practice at Peking University HSBC Business School; Wang Yuxi, managing director of Accenture China’s strategy and consulting business; Zhou Jinhua, vice president of SAP China; Zheng Hua, HR Transformation Partner of Deloitte; and Xia Ruirui, Yicai Global’s former chief executive.
